Orientation #4 : Outbound Picnic

About two weeks before everyone heads out to Brazil, we have a outbound picnic with all of the students heading out to Brazil. All of the students who have been to Brazil called Rotex and all of the returning students coming back right now, called rebounds, are there to help us out and give us some last minute support and advice. This by far was the most exciting and interesting of the orientations that we had, because it was so close to our date of when we will head out. The anticipation and excitement was very high. The advice that they gave us was all about the culture and the food what to expect and what not to expect, how to cope and how to adapt to different situations. Also they gave us our flight information when we would be heading out. The dates the flight numbers, the times and everything. We treated our  rotary pins with each other, we talked about our host family gifts of what we were giving each family, shared ideas and thoughts of what was going to happen on this big adventure. I fly out July 26 at 3 o'clock and arrive on the 27th at about 1030 in the morning. I got very lucky and I am able to travel with four of the other students going to Brazil, this is extremely rare and it will be very nice, traveling will be a lot easier a lot safer and a lot more comforting.

I will update again soon!
