I'm fortunate enough here to have a very small Rotary club, about seven people. They may be a small club but they definitely keep busy! They can always use a hand with of the projects that they do. So far we have held s Soupa De Estrelas, which is a fundraiser to help the homeless. Over 900 people showed up; my club also asked me to make an American soup to serve along with others at the event. I made a family recipe and served more than 350 people! Just last month the Governor of Rotary visited our club, along with the presidents of a few clubs close by. I gave my presentation to them about the United States and about Shakopee. I was a little nervous but it went really well! Also our club hosts a bingo party for the elderly once a month, the money from which goes to help feed children in Curitiba. Also something fun they do, is every Tuesday the Rotsry club goes to Yoga class together. With the Interact club (Interact is Rotary for young people 14-18), we all went to a RYLA (Rotary Youth Leadership Awards) where we had conferences and got to meet other Interact clubs in the district. Just a week ago my Interact club hosted Intercamp, a camp out with all,of the Interact clubs in the district. My interact club also goes to the preschool where my current host mother works and every Tuesday we play with the children; all of us are paired up with a buddy. We help them with homework, play game, and just do whatever they want to do with us there.
Beijos,
Noah
